Alex Edelstein, CEO & Co-Founder

Alex has held executive roles at Cloudmark and at Inktomi, where he was General Manager of Search. He worked at Netscape, where he product managed the early versions of Netscape Navigator, and at Microsoft, playing a key design role in the Microsoft Exchange email system and what ultimately would become Microsoft Outlook. Alex earned a BA Degree from Harvard University, and an MBA from the University of California, Berkeley. He serves on the board of Kiva.org, a non-profit facilitating micro-lending in developing countries.

 

 

Jim Mongillo, VP Worldwide Sales

Jim has played a pivotal role in a number of successful start-ups and Fortune 1000 companies: Illustra (acquired by Informix), WebLogic (acquired by BEA Systems), Oracle Corporation, Jive Software (recent IPO) and most recently as the VP of Worldwide Sales at Crowdflower. Jim brings vast international sales management credentials and has built and mentored sales teams in London (EMEA operations for BEA and Oracle) and the United States. Jim has a degree in Industrial Engineering BS from Lehigh University.

 

 

Fateh Kamal, VP Business Operations

Fateh Kamal was founder and CEO at MergeLogic LLC, a mortgage data aggregation company which successfully gathered, standardized and distributed data for over 400 loan programs and over 30 lenders. He has held senior management roles at American Family Funding and LoanCity, where he managed the Information Technology and Business Application Development departments. Fateh has a Bachelor of Science degree from San Jose State University.

 

 

 

Kenneth Berland, VP Engineering

Kenneth Berland brings a lifetime of software development experience to Servio.  Prior to joining the company, Mr. Berland led Engineering at Reputation.com during a period where registered users grew by four-fold.  Prior to Reputation.com, Berland developed and sold web-based tools for searching unstructured legal data with Hero.com. Previously, he practiced intellectual property law and was an associate attorney with the San Francisco-based firm Howard Rice.  For ten years starting in 1992, Berland created digital visual effects for film and television and in 1995 co-founded an Internet cafe in New York City. Berland received his B.S. from the University of Wisconsin, Madison and his J.D. from the University of Southern California.  He clerked for the  Hon. Danny Boggs of the Sixth Circuit.

 

Sue-Ellen Speight, VP Marketing

Sue-Ellen has held executive roles internationally within the publishing, retail and finance sectors leading teams responsible for online retail, web marketing & lead generation. She worked as General Manager for Bankrate.com, SVP Strategy and Operations for HouseValues and VP Strategy for UK technical publisher, British Standards. In each role, Sue-Ellen introduced and expanded enterprise eCommerce channels. She has front-line experience of how publishers and retailers use web content to reach new customers and how to build – and defend – high organic ranking. Sue-Ellen earned a Bachelor of Commerce from Queensland University, Australia and is an alumnus of Stanford’s Graduate School of Business Executive Program in Strategy and Organization.

 

 

Jordan Ritter, Co-Founder

Jordan co-founded the original Napster, helping lead the technology to support 60 million users worldwide in less than a year.Jordan later co-founded Cloudmark, building the world’s first commercial machine-learning, reputation-based anti-spam platform, which today protects more than 13% of all email in-boxes on the Internet. After that, Jordan joined Columbia Music Entertainment as CTO. His research has been featured in various publications and books as well as at several universities where it became part of their curricula. His works have won numerous nominations and awards spanning across Comdex, DEMO, SIIA, PC World, PC Magazine, and WIRED.
